The Clifton Baden Powell Scout hut hosts a wide range of activity for local boys (Beavers, Cubs and Scouts) and girls (Rainbows, Brownies and Guides) from the age of 5 or 6 upwards.
Beavers meet on Thursdays 5.00pm–6.00pm. They are the youngest members of the Scout Association, aged 6-8 and belong to the Severn and Teme BP District. Recent activities enjoyed by the Beavers include rafting, fishing and archery. Contact: Sarah Bradley (01886) 821822
Cubs meet on Thursdays 6:15pm–7:30pm and are aged 8-10½. Recent activities enjoyed by the Cubs include camping, climbing, canoeing, fishing and working towards their hiking, map-reading and camping badges. Contact: Toni Woolley (01886) 812713
Scouts meet on Thursdays 7.45pm–9.15pm for boys and girls aged 10½ to 14. Recent activities have included night hikes and challenge camps, climbing at the Explorers Unit in Hallow, archery and shooting in Bromyard, and a PGL trip to Nottinghamshire. Contact: Rachel Austin (01886) 812880
Brownies meet on Wednesdays 5.30pm–7pm for girls aged 7 to 10. They are working towards a Science Investigator and Circus Skills badges. Trips are organised to the West Midlands Safari Park and Top Barn for canoeing and climbing. Contact:Julia Haywood on 07964 176747 or email email@example.com.
Rainbows meet on Wednesdays 4.30pm –5.30pm for girls aged 5 and 6. They move on to Brownies at age 7. Clifton Rainbows are a small but very enthusiastic group and will give new recruits a friendly welcome! Guides meet at the Guide hut on Monday night between 6.30-8pm unless otherwise stated.
