CLIFTON DEVELOPERS IN NEW PLANNING BID

Last updated: Thursday, 29th June 2017, 12:57

Galliford Try Ltd, the developer who acquired the site earmarked for housing development in Hope Lane, Clifton, from Miller Homes, has put in a new planning application for 30 houses on the site.

According to Malvern Hills District Council, residents have only until Friday, 21st July, to submit any objections to the application since the consultation began in June. Miller Homes were originally granted planning permission to build 30 houses in Hope Lane in 2013. But last year Linden Homes, part of Galliford Try, disclosed their intention to apply for a further 20 houses on the same site during a ‘consultation’ event in February when their plans for a 50-house estate on the site were displayed.

The site off Hope Lane adjoins another site leading off Pound Lane where developers Lovell Homes, having already been granted outline planning permission for a further 48 houses, have just submitted another planning application for a revised version of their original plans.
