GRANDFATHER'S EPIC CYLE RIDE FOR CLIFTON SCHOOL

Last updated: Saturday, 2nd September 2017, 19:31

A Clifton Primary School pupil’s grandfather has completed an epic 1,000 mile cycling journey from Land’s End to John O’Groats at the age of 70 in a bid to raise fund for the school’s playground equipment. Six-year-old Dexta Merrick’s grandfather, Nigel Hedgcock, set off from Cornwall in mid-August and finally reached John O’Groats in northern Scotland on Sunday 3rd September.

Dexta’s mother, Charlotte, said: “Nigel, Dexta, Clifton Primary school and the PTA would be incredibly grateful if anyone would support this project by digging deep and sponsoring Nigel. Please contact me on 07496 394731 or charliemerrick1981@icloud.com for more information and ways to donate”.
